Welcome Winder-Barrow High School sophomores! In the gaming world, you’ve survived and made it to the next level. During this next step in your high school careers there will be important tasks and events to be mindful of and complete. Always maintain your focus in the classroom and on your graduation requirements. As sophomores you should be increasing your abilities to self-advocate and inform your parents, teachers, counselors and administrators of the things you may need to be successful. This year a great time to evaluate how last year went and to make improvements for this school year. Tasks to consider can include, but are not limited to: register/take the PSAT in the fall, increasing your student involvement by joining a club/sport, becoming more involved in volunteer opportunities, consider enrolling in rigorous course/Dual Enrollment, and defining your pathway sequence to align with career goals.
This sophomore page and our counseling site exists to give you all specific information that will help you navigate and remain focused this school year. The Counseling Department will assist in providing and disseminating necessary info on your sophomore year, as well as fun info in research, current trends, facts, and more.
