Seniors: GA Scholar Application

Class of 2018 Senior students, the 2018 Georgia Scholar application is now available. Through the Georgia Scholar program, the DOE identifies and honors high school seniors who have achieved excellence in school and community life. The program is coordinated by the Department’s Excellence Recognition Office and through local coordinators in each public school system and in private schools throughout the state. Each Georgia Scholar receives a seal for his or her diploma.

Come see Mr. Peppers before school, after school or during transitions if you are interested in completing the application.

Other Criteria

-There is not a limit on how many applications can be submitted by districts or private schools.

-Student must be a graduating senior.

-The application and one page reference letter is the only thing that should be submitted.

-No mailed or faxed applications will be accepted.

-Reference letters are to be from outside school personnel and family.

-Do not attached copies of transcripts, SAT/ACT scores, voter registration or photos to the application.

-Only legible applications with all signatures will be considered.

-All criteria on the application must be completed for consideration.

-Section A must be filled out with specific class information.

-There is not a monetary award associated with this recognition.
