UGA’s FIRST LOOK event is looking for students!
Greetings from Athens, the Classic City!

We would like to share information with you and your staff about a unique opportunity that could be of interest to your students who are in grades 10th – 12th and are interested in going to college. UGA FIRST Look event is a special visitation program for select high school students and their guest(s) with 10th thru 12th grade students. UGA’s EMBARK program, in conjunction with the Office of Admissions, is hosting this exciting event to offer students a glimpse into what opportunities await them in Athens, GA.

The University of Georgia’s EMBARK program, in conjunction with the Office of Admissions, is hosting a “FIRST Look” event at UGA on February 17, 2016. EMBARK is a statewide network of support for youth who have experienced foster care and/or homelessness and are enrolled or interested in attending any postsecondary educational institution in Georgia. We are hosting this event targeted toward youth who are either in foster care or considered homeless. This will be a free event for students and a chaperone!

UGA has a rich system of support that could be beneficial to students at your school that fit the need for this program. We are looking for your support in finding highly motivated, hard-working students who are in good academic standing to register for the “FIRST Look” event. Any invited seniors should have applied by the January 15, 2016 Regular Decision deadline.

Space is limited. For more details on what the program will offer during the student’s visit, please visit our registration page at or click the register button below.  This event is FREE!
