WHAT WAS THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCES PURPOSE?                                                                                           “On June 11, 1776, a group of five men was appointed by the second contential congress to write a Declaration of Independence which would free them from the British rule.” These five men were John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Roger Sherman,and Robert Livingston.
