Description: This lesson will teach students how to effectively analyze writing prompts and efficiently develop thesis statements. During this lesson, students will review the elements of a thesis statements. Students will work collaboratively and ¬†use conversational moves to create thesis statements based on the short story “Thank You Ma’am” by Langston Hughes.
