2nd Quarter in Review

The second grading period was full of lots of fun learning experiences for our students.

Career Day 2015 was a lot of fun. Students learned about jobs such as…

…Energy Careers with Georgia Power

…Dr. Scholl explained what it is like to be a veterinarian
IMG_0569…an exciting job as a flight nurse on a helicopter
IMG_0551…even a career in helping others be healthy like the ladies from Anytime Fitness demonstrated
IMG_0553-ANIMATIONIn science we studied Georgia habitats and plant and animal adaptations. Students did a great job on their research projects and presentations. Here are some examples:

Students have had many opportunities to work collaboratively with technology devices.

 

In December UGA football player and author Malcolm Mitchell came to Holsenbeck and read his book to our school.

We ended the semester with a holiday party including crafts and yummy food.

We’ve had a great first half of the year! I know the rest of the year will be just as wonderful!
